Maybe you just don't work hard enough?

Republican precinct 'targeted' by Obama tax plan
Voters in Orange County's second most GOP precinct complain that Obama tax proposal would spare others by hitting them with increases.

OC Register

This was the headline and lede that caught my attention when this little gem was published on October 22 of this year.  The Republicans in one of the most richest counties in America were playing the victimized rich card.  They are going to be victims of the Obama Presidency.

CA-44, Are you going to let Republicans steal this one?

Calvert's team has apparently been having private conversations with the registrar's office in Riverside County, which was the last county in California to report its election results. There were numerous reports from Democratic Party officials, voters and even a poll worker in Riverside County that voters were "forced to use provisional ballots" or "denied ballots entirely" on Tuesday. HuffPost

Bill Hedrick needs our help!  He is only 4,000 votes away from being the second Democratic Congressperson in Orange County, CA and there are thousands of ballots left to count.

Republicans are already employing their lawyers to fight every vote left to count.  We have to stop this from happening.

Phone Banking for my Husband in the OC

(Written from earlier today)

So here I am at Monkey Business in Fullerton to do some phone banking for our local candidates, including for my husband Gary Pritchard, who is running for California State Senate.

The 33rd district covers a huge amount of area, including Anaheim, Anaheim Hills, Fullerton, Villa Park, Orange, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Laguna Hills, Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Aliso Viejo, Buena Park, Tustin, Silverado, Irvine, Santa Ana, Lake Forest, Coto de Caza and Foothill Ranch.  I like to call the district map, "Rexi".

(CA-SD-33) They already stole Gary's signs

Gary Pritchard, my husband, is running for California State Senate in the 33rd district.  He purchased 400 signs to put up around the huge area his district covers in order to get his name out there, let people know there is an alternative and well, we knew our oppenent wouldn't have any signs.  She's not bothered to run a race, she's got it clinched in her mind and in the mind of many around the state.

Gary has spent over the last week plus getting up at 3 or 4 am to put his signs out and has gotten very little help (Shout out to Martin and Angela who helped him in Anaheim and Anaheim Hills and Nikki and Steve who have helped in south County) but he's just run himself ragged doing this.

Blakeman on Obama "taking a 767 campaign plane to go visit Grandma"

Yes, they went there.  And thankfully Keith Olbermann was able to call them out.  I heard about this first on Thom Hartmann this morning and was outraged.  I've been waiting for a clip and I found it at the Huffington Post and it does not give me the option to embed in the post.  I did however find what Keith Olbermann had to say about this, after the cut.

But I just can't figure out what's worse about this awful line of attack on Obama.  I mean, first this "spokesperson" (not for McCain) was trying to deflect the question regarding Palin's outrageous spending spree at the cost of the RNC.  And then to question why a Presidential candidate can't take a commercial jetliner to Hawaii is just absurd, or maybe a "smaller" plane.

"Forget about the energy that is wasted, what about the hundreds of thousands of dollars to take a private trip when this guy should be humping his bags on a commercial plane or taking a smaller plane. Taking a 767 of campaign money from people who could least afford it is more of an outrage in my opinion."

CA-46, The photo that should end this now

I know, don't you hate that when people get so melodramatic with campaigns?  I do, I've seen far too many posts here about the one thing Palin or McCain has done or said that just ends it all, right now!  It doesn't.

But this photo for me, should be spread far and wide in California's 46th district because it represents the contempt that Republicans have for their constituents.  Dana Rohrabacher's smug and cold stare at his opponent gave me the chills.

(CA-SD-33) Three AM Phone call? Not Quite...

It was instead the three am alarm clock that my husband had asked me to set.  He got home last night at around 9pm from a candidate forum in Fullerton.  He hadn't eaten dinner and was trying to figure out what to have(He wasn't much interested in what I had made for dinner, although it was nicely packed in a tupperware container in the fridge just in case he wanted it).  He also let me know that the people who had volunteered to put his signs out were unable to do so now.

So, he asked me to set the alarm for 3am.  He had spent the afternoon attempting to put signs up but with the traffic, etc., he said it took too long.  He was going to get up and do it when there was hardly anyone on the road.

You can't knock him for not being dedicated.

LA Times Endorses Obama

In an editorial released today, the Times writes: "As the presidential race draws to its conclusion, it is Obama's character and temperament that come to the fore. It is his steadiness. His maturity. These are qualities American leadership has sorely lacked for close to a decade." Complete endorsement at:

http://link.latimes.com/r/5FXEVW/J9D4R/E 9EC5O/RGGD/NDHWX/QR/t

This is a shocker, the LA Times has not endorsed a Presidential candidate since 1972 and has never endorsed a Democratic Candidate.  Their reasoning is spot on and I believe that more and more people are coming to this realization as the McCain campaign continues to be it's own worst enemy.  Joe the Plumber?
